When most or all of the natural teeth are lost, complete or partial dentures may be recommended to replace the function and appearance of missing teeth.

  • Complete Dentures replace all of the teeth in an arch (upper or lower), and are made of acrylic plastic to resemble natural gum tissue and teeth. Sometimes porcelain or metal materials are used in a denture to accomplish specific cosmetic or functional goals.

  • Partial Dentures fill in the spaces created by missing teeth to help prevent other teeth from shifting out of position. They have clasps or rests that attach to existing natural teeth for support and retention while biting and chewing.

Protecting Your Oral Health

Collectively, the teeth, gums, tongue and jaw joints play an invaluable role in the digestive process. Each tooth has a job to do in helping to maintain the balance of bite forces and preserving healthy jaw bone structures.

If all of a patient's teeth are lost at an early age, this can result in serious conditions in later years. In most cases, removal of remaining teeth to replace them with a full set of complete dentures is the last option considered.

Implant Supported Dentures

Loose, unstable dentures are a common problem among denture-wearers. implant supported dentures are fitted with special connections to lock onto dental implants which are integrated into the jawbone, much like your own natural teeth. Dental implants secure the denture to give the patient the confidence to smile naturally and eat the foods they enjoy.
